ABOUT ME
I have always had a relentless drive towards creative pursuits. It began with visual arts but as I grew up and learned more about the world I realized creativity can be applied to anything to make it better. I have been doing that ever since and loving the journey along the way.
My passion as a developer is to constantly find new problems to solve or new ideas to bring to life. I have found the creative thinking I learned as an artist can be applied to all manner of problems that arise in game development (hence my long list of additional job titles). I especially enjoy finding solutions that solve problems more permanently or efficiently, to leave things better than I found them.
As a developer, I make games for two people: the player and myself. For the player, I want to deliver maximum value. From superlative visuals to memorable and engaging gameplay to rich immersive worlds with lots of content for their dollar. For myself, I make the games I want to play. The love and the passion you have for and idea, as well as the immediate feedback from being your target player, make the best games in my experience.
I have worked on several popular open-world titles at Bethesda Game Studios including as an art lead on DLC content. My understanding of game production goes beyond the standard pipelines and includes many of my pipeline innovations for creating more with less. Video games are my hobby, my career, my art, and my passion. I also have great respect for the job of a game developer. I care deeply about my fellow developers and hope to leave them better than I found them weather it is as their lead, peer, or subordinate.
Currently, I am living in Rockville Maryland with my wife and two kids working on the next big thing from Bethesda Game Studios. I am active in the #RealTimeVFX community and always training up new skills for game making at home in my spare time (when I am not playing Rocket League, Apex, PUBG, or the latest hot game release).
